I wrote and recorded this the day after a long haul flight home from Atlanta so I was badly jetlagged (hence the title) and after five weeks of no drums - very eager to sit down and hit something! The way my snare had detuned itself sitting in a cold, damp basement brought something to life in me and I just rolled with it. That was back in June of this year. I left it and got on with a busy summer but came back to it the other week and it just brought the biggest smile to my face when I listened. There’s something about a simple, phat groove that is utter bliss to my ears and whole being.
